The Oroville Sports Club is a health and fitness center with weight training, cardio machines, classes, and pools that encourage healthier lifestyles.

Is this just a club for the already fit?
No, we encourage people of all physical levels to join. We offer different types of classes, equipment, and fitness training programs to accommodate everyone especially beginners.

Many weight rooms are intimidating because of the noise and aggressive atmosphere, is the sports club's weight room like that?
Not at all. We try to create a friendly and non-intimidating atmosphere for all members to workout in. We have fitness attendants on the fitness floor to ensure that safety and comfort is possible.

I can't find Oroville Sports Club, where is it located?
We are located off of Oro Dam Blvd, the main street running through Oroville, in the parking lot with the old Wards building. You can also click on the address on the navigation bar to see our location on google maps.

I can't come in when membership is open but I want to join, what should I do?
Give us a call (530) 538-0123 and make an appointment with our membership staff and we'll meet your schedule's needs.

I want to workout but don't know where to start, can someone help me?
You can schedule an appointment with one of our trained fitness staff and he/she will show you how to get started and what is best for your personal needs. There is always a fitness staff available during club hours who can help you with any of the machines and equipment.

The classes seem too hard for me and I'm afraid I won't be able to make it through the whole class; should I take a class at all?
Definitely take the class. There are no restrictions on coming in late or leaving early. We understand that getting fit takes time and we want you to be able to work into the classes, so you can leave at any point. Our instructors provide modifications for beginners and advanced-level participants.

I don't have much time to workout but I want to get healthy, what should I do?
We have circuit training machines set up that takes around 30 minutes to do and will workout your whole body. There are also classes like Glutes & Abs that can provide a great workout in a short amount of time.

I have difficulty walking but I want to lose weight is there anything the Sports Club can offer?
We machines such as the NuStep that does not put pressure on knees or hips and are perfect for those who are not able to get on a bike or treadmill. However, for those that have difficulty using our machines and indoor equipment, another option we have is in our heated pools. You can either exercise on your own or join one of the many aquatic classes we offer.

Does the Sports Club have senior programs?
We have exercise classes both indoor and water classes as well. We offer Sit ‘N Be Fit, Back care, Senior Aquatic, and Yoga. Also, any other low intensity class would be perfect for a senior to try even if it is not focused on that demographic.

Does the Sports Club have a basketball court?
No, we do not offer basketball or tennis / raquet ball. We are here for health and fitness and less focused on recreation activities.
